To achieve the recommended 0.7 bar of air pressure inside the air cap, you must follow a specific setup sequence. First, ensure the pattern adjustment is set to fully open. While holding the trigger, adjust the air pressure at the inlet port of the gun to 1.8 bar (26 psi). This specific inlet pressure is calibrated to result in the required 0.7 bar at the air cap, providing the ideal atomisation for basecoat applications. Always verify these settings before you begin spraying to ensure you remain within the compliance specifications for the LS 400 Series 2.1.

Maintenance of the digital version requires extra care. You must disassemble the digital pressure gauge module from the gun handle before you begin any cleaning process or before placing the gun into an automatic washing machine. Never immerse the digital module in any cleaning liquids, as this will cause internal damage to the electronics. For the gun body, use a neutral cleaning agent with a pH value between 6 and 8. Always ensure that you clean the air channels thoroughly and dry the equipment immediately after cleaning to prevent corrosion of the internal passages.
