Mipa 2K Clearcoat Spray Set Including Hardener

The "2K" designation indicates that this product contains an integrated hardener, which is released within the can when activated. Unlike standard single-component paints that dry simply by solvent evaporation, this clearcoat undergoes a chemical cross-linking process. The result is a significantly harder, more durable finish that offers excellent resistance to fuel, weathering, and mechanical stress, mirroring the performance of professional spray gun systems.

Activation is straightforward but must be done precisely. First, shake the can vigorously for one to two minutes. Remove the red button from the cap, turn the aerosol upside down, and firmly attach the button to the pin on the base of the can. Place the can cap-down on a solid surface and press the red button down firmly with the heel of your hand until you feel it reach the stop. Once activated, shake the can vigorously again to ensure the hardener is thoroughly mixed with the clearcoat.

Once the hardener has been released into the clearcoat, the chemical reaction begins, meaning the product has a finite shelf life. You should aim to use the contents of the can within five to six hours when stored at 20°C. We recommend only activating the can when you are ready to begin your painting project to ensure you can utilise the product within this window.
