Why Choose Nebula Paints?
Mipa P 57 PE-Carbon Fibre Filler is a 2-component body filler based on polyester resin reinforced with carbon fibers, specifically engineered to bridge cracks, small gaps, and perforations caused by corrosion in car body repairs. Unlike conventional fiberglass body fillers, Mipa P 57 incorporates carbon fibers to deliver maximum stability, tensile strength, and structural integrity while remaining easy to sand.

Application & Processing Instructions
Substrate Preparation:
Clean, dry, and thoroughly degrease the entire work area with Mipa Silikonentferner before starting.
Sand the surface slightly. Completely remove any uncured old paint coats or primers.
De-rust defective, corroded spots down to bare metal and dry-sand using P 80 / P 150 paper.
Incompatibility: Do not apply over thermoplastic finishes or acid-based wash primers (Reaktionsprimer).
Non-Ferrous Metals & Restorations: When applying over non-ferrous substrates (e.g., aluminium, galvanised steel) or during vintage car restorations, apply a base coat of Mipa EP-Primer-Surfacer first to maximise adhesion and long-term corrosion protection.
Mixing
Thoroughly mix 100 parts by weight of body filler with 2 parts by weight of Mipa Härter P.
Do not exceed 3% hardener. Under- or over-dosing hardener can cause bleed-through or spotting in the topcoat paint layers.
Environmental Conditions:
Apply between +10 °C and up to 80% relative humidity with adequate room ventilation.
Note: Polyester body fillers will stop curing at temperatures below +10 °C.
Sanding
Body filler must only be dry sanded.
Initial dry sanding: P 150 / P 240 grit paper.
Final dry sanding: P 240 / P 360 grit paper to achieve a smooth matt finish prior to filler/primer coats.
Topcoat Isolation:
Always isolate the cured filler using a Mipa 1K or 2K primer-filler before applying topcoat paints.
- Finish: Matt
- Carbon Fiber Reinforced: Blends high-resistance carbon fibers into a fiberglass body filler matrix for superior structural stability compared to standard fiberglass fillers.
- Crack & Rust Hole Repair: Perfectly formulated to bridge cracks, small gaps, and corrosion-damaged perforations in auto repair applications.
- Wide Substrate Compatibility: Provides strong direct adhesion to iron, steel, zinc, aluminium, GRP (glass-reinforced plastic), and wood.
- Effortless Workability: Rapid curing time paired with easy dry-sanding capabilities.
- Black Finish: Formulated in black, making it easy to see work area boundaries during leveling and sanding.
