This clear lacquer is designed specifically for automotive base coats that have been allowed to dry for 30 minutes. It is vital to adhere to these timings, as applying the clear coat too early or waiting too long can result in adhesion problems. We also strongly advise against applying this product over primers of unknown chemical composition without performing a compatibility test first.

Preparation is essential for a professional finish. Ensure the surface is entirely free from dust, grime, grease, and oil. Clean the area using a high quality solvent wipe, white spirit, or a proprietary panel wipe and allow it to dry completely. If the surface needs to be flattened, you can lightly abrade it with 1200 grade wet and dry abrasive paper, then clean it once more to remove any remaining dust before spraying.

First, shake the can thoroughly for at least two minutes and continue to repeat the shaking at regular intervals during your project. Apply the lacquer from a distance of 20 to 25 cm, using as many light coats as necessary to achieve total and even coverage. It is crucial to leave at least 15 minutes of flash off time between each application to prevent runs and ensure the solvents evaporate properly.
