Mipa 1K Adhesion Promoter Spray (400ML)

Mipa 1K Adhesion Promoter is a colourless, universal primer designed to create a strong bond on difficult surfaces. It is primarily used to prepare plastics, such as PP EPDM, ABS, and GRP, for painting without the need for time consuming sanding. It is also highly effective on challenging metal substrates, including polished aluminium, stainless steel, and powder coatings, ensuring your topcoat adheres perfectly every time.

While this product is highly versatile, we advise caution when applying it to clear, solvent sensitive plastics like polycarbonate. The solvent nature of adhesion promoters can occasionally cause a haze or partial dissolution, which reduces transparency. We always recommend performing a test application on a small, inconspicuous area or a scrap piece of the same material before committing to the entire part.

Mipa 1K Adhesion Promoter is exceptionally fast drying. It is recoatable with both 1K and 2K Mipa topcoats in just 10 minutes at 20°C. This makes it an ideal choice for busy workshops looking to streamline their refinishing process without sacrificing quality or durability.
