Mipa 1K Plastic Primer Filler Spray (400ml)

This spray is a highly efficient, fast drying solution designed specifically for plastics commonly used in the automotive industry, such as PP, ABS, PC, and GRP. Its special formulation allows it to bond effectively even to difficult substrates like polypropylene (PP) without the need for complex pre treatments like flame or plasma processing. It combines excellent adhesion with good filling properties, significantly simplifying the plastic repair process.

It is compatible with a wide range of common automotive plastics including PP EPDM, ABS, PC, PMMA, PA, PUR, PVC, and GRP. However, due to the immense variety of plastic types and compounds available on the market, we strongly recommend performing a preliminary test on an inconspicuous area or a scrap piece of the same material before committing to the entire part.

Preparation is the most critical step for success. Before painting, reheat the object at 60°C for 60 minutes. Use a plastic cleaner or silicon remover to thoroughly degrease the surface. Sand the area with a fine abrasive pad, clean again, and allow it to dry completely. We also recommend using an ionised air gun to neutralise electrostatic charges, which helps reduce dust inclusions and ensures a clean finish. Always perform a water wetting test after cleaning; if the water drops roll off the surface quickly, you should repeat the pre treatment to ensure all releasing agents are fully removed.
