Mipa P35 Elastic including Hardener 250g

Mipa P35 Elastic Flexible Body Filler is a highly flexible two-component body filler and fine putty specifically engineered for overcoatable plastic components. Designed to allow effortless contouring and shaping, it provides superior flexibility without cracking or flaking. It delivers exceptional adhesion across flexible plastics, steel, aluminium, GRP, and wood, combined with fast drying times and effortless feather-edge sanding.

Application & Processing Guidelines

Substrate Preparation:

Plastics: Degrease thoroughly using Mipa Kunststoffreiniger antistatisch or Mipa Silicon Remover Silikonentferner. Carefully sand using an MP Soft Pad superfine alongside cleaner. Clean again and allow to dry completely.  

Water Wetting Test: Release agents must be completely removed. Perform a water drop test; if water beads off quickly, repeat the cleaning and sanding process.  

Metals: Remove uncured paint/primers. Dry sand damaged metal spots with P 80/150 paper. Degrease with Mipa Silikonentferner.  

Incompatibility: Do not apply over thermoplastic or acid-based products (Reaktionsprimer).  

Mixing: Mix 100 parts by weight of Mipa P 35 with 2 parts by weight of Mipa Härter P hardener (do not exceed 3% hardener to prevent spotting in topcoats).  

Processing Conditions: Apply at temperatures above +10 °C and up to 80% relative humidity. (Polyester fillers will not cure below +10 °C).  

Sanding & Finishing:
Body filler must only be dry sanded.  
Initial dry sanding: P 150/240 grit.  
Final dry sanding to a matt finish: P 240/360 grit before applying filler coats.  

Isolation: Always isolate the body filler with a Mipa 1K or 2K filler primer prior to topcoat application.
