Monofil Bridging Filler – Glass Fibre Reinforced Putty for Automotive & Marine Repairs
Monofil Bridging Filler is a heavy-duty, structural repair compound designed to tackle the jobs that standard body fillers cannot handle. Formulated with long-strand glass fibres suspended in a two-component polyester resin, this putty provides exceptional mechanical strength, allowing it to span gaps and "bridge" open holes caused by rust or impact damage without sagging.
Unlike standard porous fillers which can absorb moisture, Monofil Bridging Filler is inherently waterproof. This unique characteristic makes it an indispensable tool not just for automotive restoration, but also for the marine industry, providing durable, water-resistant repairs on boats and GRP hulls. Whether you are stabilizing a rusted car panel or fixing a fiberglass composite, this green-colored filler acts as a rock-solid foundation, restoring structural integrity before the application of fine finishing fillers.
Suitable Substrates:
This bridging filler adheres aggressively to various prepared surfaces:
Metals: Iron, Steel, Aluminium, and Galvanized substrates.
Composites: Glass fibre reinforced materials (GRP/Fiberglass).
Important Restriction: Do not apply over thermoplastic coatings (nitro-cellulose, 1K-acrylic), acid-reacting coats (wash primers), or synthetic resin-based coats. These must be sanded off completely to bare metal before application.
Mixing & Drying Times (at 20°C):
