Monofil Smart+ Acrylic Spray Primer (500ml)

Monofil Smart+ Acrylic Primer is a high performance, fast drying primer designed specifically for vehicle body panel rectification and repair work. It is an essential step in creating a durable finish for both passenger and commercial vehicles, providing excellent adhesion to various metals and rigid plastics. It acts as a reliable foundation that ensures the final topcoat bonds securely and looks professional.

Proper preparation is key. First, ensure the area is clean and free from dust, grime, grease, and oil. Lightly sand the surface and wipe it down with a solvent wipe, white spirit, or a proprietary panel wipe to ensure it is perfectly clean before allowing it to dry. Before spraying, shake the can thoroughly for at least two minutes to ensure the pigment is evenly mixed. Apply several light coats from a distance of 20 to 25 cm, allowing at least 15 minutes of flash off time between each application to ensure even coverage.

The Monofil Smart+ Primer range features an adjustable fan spray nozzle, which is a significant advantage over standard aerosol nozzles. This professional standard nozzle allows for a wider, more even spray pattern, which makes it much easier to achieve uniform coverage across larger panels and helps to reduce the risk of patchiness or uneven build up during the priming stage.
