You know how plastic parts and even metal surfaces act like magnets for dust because of static electricity? That dust ruins a perfect paint job and forces you to spend hours sanding out nibs or polishing the clear coat. This gun blows ionised air that essentially kills the static charge on the surface. When the static is gone, the dust does not stick to the panel. By using this gun before you start spraying, you save a massive amount of time on rework and get a much cleaner, glass like finish from the very first coat.

Not at all. This gun runs purely on the compressed air you already use in your booth. This is a huge advantage because you do not have to worry about trailing power cords across the floor or finding a plug socket in your workspace. Because it has no electrical components that could create a spark, it is fully ATEX approved. This means it is officially tested and safe to use in environments where flammable paint vapours are present, giving you total peace of mind while you work.

It is very low maintenance, but you do need to keep an eye on the small metal pin at the tip of the nozzle. Over time, that pin can collect dust or develop a white powder residue, which stops it from neutralising the static effectively. Every two weeks or so, just disconnect the air supply and give the pin a quick wipe with a dry, lint free cloth. If it looks a bit dirty, you can use a cotton bud with a little isopropyl alcohol to clean it. If you notice the static isn't disappearing as well as it used to, it usually just means the pin needs a good clean or a simple replacement.
