P20 PE Fibre Glass Resin 1kg

Mipa P 20 PE Repair Resin is a fast-curing laminating resin formulated for use with benzoyl peroxide hardener. When paired with glass mat, glass fabric, or unwoven glass fibre, Mipa P 20 forms a high-performance repair system designed to bridge and structuralise larger holes in car body panels, GRP components, and wooden substrates. It exhibits superior adhesion on iron, steel, and GRP, making it an ideal joining material for vehicle modifications, such as wing extensions, custom body work, and structural panel repairs.  

Application & Processing Guidelines

Substrate Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, free of grease, and slightly sanded. Remove uncured old paintwork or acid primers (Reaktionsprimer).  
Ferrous Metals: De-rust defective spots to bare metal and dry sand using P 80/150 paper. Degrease using Mipa Silikonentferner.  
Aluminium & Zinc: Laminate immediately after sanding to avoid oxidation and loss of adhesion.  

Mixing: Thoroughly mix 100 parts by weight of Mipa P 20 with 1–3 parts by weight of Mipa Härter P hardener (do not exceed 3% hardener).  

Application Conditions: Work above +10 °C (polyester products will not cure below +10 °C) and up to 80% relative air humidity. Ensure ambient temperature remains above the dew point to maintain adhesion.  

Surface Finishing: For a smooth top surface, rework cured laminate using Mipa P 90 or Mipa P 99 Multi-Star body filler.  

Sanding & Isolation:

Dry sand only using P 150/240 grit for initial sanding, followed by P 240/360 grit to a matt finish.  

Always isolate with a Mipa 1K or 2K filler prior to topcoat application.
