Why Choose Nebula Paints?
Mipa P50 Glass Fibre Body Filler is a high-performance two-component polyester resin body filler reinforced with glass fibers to deliver exceptional structural bridging strength. Specially formulated without asbestos, Mipa P 50 excels at bridging gaps, repairing small holes, and reinforcing areas affected by corrosion across steel, iron, aluminium, GRP, and wood. Thanks to its low-hygroscopic properties, it provides outstanding water resistance making it ideal for marine repairs, boat hulls, and high-moisture environments as well as vertical automotive bodywork.

Application & Processing Guidelines
Substrate Preparation: Surfaces must be clean, dry, free from grease, and slightly sanded. Remove uncured old paintwork or acid-based primers (Reaktionsprimer).
Metal & Steel: De-rust defective areas to bare metal and dry sand with P 80/150. Degrease thoroughly using Mipa Silicon Remover (Silikonentferner).
Galvanised & Vintage Panels: Apply Mipa EP-Primer-Surfacer prior to filling for optimal adhesion and maximum corrosion protection.
Mixing: Mix 100 parts by weight of Mipa P 50 with 2 parts by weight of Mipa Härter P hardener (do not exceed 3% hardener to prevent spotting in final paint layers).
Application Conditions: Apply at temperatures above +10 °C (polyester fillers will not cure below +10 °C) and up to 80% relative air humidity.
Sanding & Finishing:
Dry sand only.
Initial dry sanding: P 150/240.
Final dry sanding to a matt finish: P 240/360 before applying filler coats.
Isolation: Do not overcoat directly without isolating the body filler using a Mipa 1K or 2K filler.
