Why Choose Nebula Paints?
Mipa PL 6 Universal (Ziehspachtel) is a 2-component elastic body filler based on unsaturated polyester resins. Featuring an extended pot life and a fine grain structure, it is specially engineered for large-area filling and ultra-thin coat applications on commercial vehicles (trucks, rail vehicles, buses) and cars.
Extended Open Time: A longer pot life of 5.5–6.5 minutes at 20 °C makes it suitable for spreading over larger surface areas without prematurely skinning.
Substrate Prep:
Steel: Sand/rust-remove and degrease using Mipa Silikonentferner.
Zinced Substrates: Clean using Mipa Zinkreiniger.
Aluminium: Sand thoroughly with P360/400 grit and degrease.
GRP / Plastics: Remove mould release agents, sand lightly if necessary, and degrease.
Mixing: Mix the filler thoroughly with 2–3% by weight of Mipa Härter P. Avoid over-dosing hardener (>3%), as excess hardener can cause spotting in subsequent paint layers.
Application Conditions: Apply at temperatures above +10 °C (polyester putties do not cure below +10 °C).
Sanding: Dry sand only

- Fast Curing: Ready for sanding in just 20 minutes at 20 °C ambient temperature, or 5–6 minutes under an infrared heater.
