Relo Acrylic Thinner

Relo Thinner is a professional grade solvent formulated to adjust the viscosity of Relo 2K products, clearcoats, and primers. By reducing the thickness of the product, it allows the paint to flow correctly through your spray gun, ensuring perfect atomisation and an even, smooth application. Without the correct dilution, paint can be too thick to spray, leading to orange peel or an uneven finish.

We strongly recommend using Relo Thinner exclusively with the Relo and Relocryl product ranges. Paint systems are engineered with specific chemical compositions, and using a thinner from a different brand can result in poor curing, loss of gloss, or even surface reactions like lifting or bubbling. Sticking to the manufacturer recommended thinner ensures chemical compatibility and guarantees the performance of your clearcoat or primer.

The correct ratio is always dictated by the technical data sheet for the specific paint or clearcoat you are using. These guidelines are based on the product type and the ambient temperature of your workshop. We advise against guessing the ratio; always measure carefully to ensure you do not exceed the manufacturer recommendation, as over thinning can cause the paint to run or lose its protective properties.
