Rosner Positive Wood Effect Stain – Intensive Antique Finish for Coniferous Woods
Rosner Positive Wood Effect Stain is a high-quality aqueous stain engineered to produce an intensive "positive effect" on softwoods (such as pine, spruce, and fir). Unlike standard stains which often darken the soft parts of the wood, this formulation reacts to darken the harder, late-wood grain while leaving the softer areas lighter. This creates a striking, high-contrast look that mimics the appearance of naturally aged or "antique" timber.
Containing a blend of natural and synthetic dyes along with special additives and light stabilizers, it ensures the finish remains vibrant and resists fading over time. It is widely used in the furniture industry to maintain and emphasize the natural rustic character of coniferous timber.
Suitable Substrates:

Ideal Woods: Coniferous/Softwoods (Pine, Spruce, Fir, Larch).

Preparation: Wood must be dry, clean, and completely free from resin and oil.
- Sanding: Surfaces should be sanded with grain P120. (Textured/brushed surfaces also work well).
