Miparox Anti Rust Spray (400ml)

Miparox is an epoxy-resin based coating that actively neutralises rust, chemically converting it into a stable, dark grey or black protective layer. By combining rust conversion with a primer application, it creates a durable barrier that protects against further corrosion. This allows you to treat and prime rusted metal in one simple operation, providing a solid foundation for your subsequent paint or filler stages.

For the best results, start by removing any loose rust, dirt, and grease from the metal surface. Pre-cleaning with a Mipa Silicon Remover is essential to ensure a clean substrate and optimal performance. While Miparox is designed to handle surface rust, removing loose scale and debris allows the epoxy resin to bond effectively with the metal, ensuring the most reliable protection.

Yes. Once fully cured, which takes 24 hours at room temperature, the treated surface is ready to be overcoated. Miparox is specifically designed to be compatible with polyester-based materials, meaning you can move onto your final filler or paint stages with the confidence that the rust has been neutralised and the surface is properly sealed.
