Yes. While the paint becomes dust dry in 15 minutes and set to the touch in 30 to 40 minutes at room temperature, it reaches its peak performance only after exposure to high heat. To gain limited resistance to oils and chemicals, the painted component should be heated to 200°C for 1 to 2 hours. Full chemical resistance is achieved once the part has been exposed to a temperature of at least 400°C for one hour.

The paint will feel dry to the touch within 40 minutes, but it is important to remember that it is still developing its protective properties. Do not handle the part roughly or expose it to harsh chemicals until it has undergone the initial high heat exposure cycles described in the curing process. Once it has been properly heated, it creates a robust, stable, and highly weather resistant finish that does not flake, peel, or tear.
